How to trim video
- Add your video by clicking the box above or dragging it in.
- Enter the start time and, optionally, the end time (for example 0:15 and 1:30).
- Click "Trim" and download the result.
Entering times
- Use minutes:seconds (1:30) or just seconds (90).
- Leave "End" empty to keep everything after the start time.
- The length of the file is shown next to it once it is added.
Good to know
- The result is an MP4 with H.264 video, the most compatible format.
- Processing speed depends on your device. A modern laptop usually converts video faster than real time. Changing only the container (for example MOV with H.264 to MP4) is almost instant because the video is copied, not re-encoded.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free to trim videos?
Yes. You can trim videos for free, 3 files at a time up to 250 MB each, with no sign-up and no watermark. Pro removes the file limit, handles files up to 2 GB and downloads everything as one ZIP.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Vidverter runs entirely in your browser and uses your device's own video encoders. Files never leave your computer or phone, so it is safe for private recordings, and there is no upload or download wait.
Which browsers work?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox on Windows, Mac, iPhone and Android. Chrome and Edge are the fastest because they use hardware video encoders on most computers.
